Donna Marie (Zaste) Wilkie
Born on February 27th, 1947- D. March 14th, 2020

Donna Wilkie, age 73, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Donna Marie (Zaste) Wilkie was born on February 27th, 1947 in Belcourt, ND to Dorothy (Tipps) and Pete Zaste. Donna is the second eldest daughter of eight siblings namely; Sharon, Donna, Dorothy, Linda, Susie, Marie, Cindy, and Shelly.

Donna attended Turtle Mountain School and obtained her high school diploma. After graduating Donna attended Minot Business College. In the summer of 1965, she worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Aberdeen, SD. Later in the fall, Donna started working for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Aberdeen, SD until she transferred to the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Belcourt, ND in 1968. Donna retired from the federal government at the age of 47 on April 30th 1994 after 28 years.

Donna loved visiting with her family; she enjoyed watching her grandkids who played various sports from wrestling to softball. She loved planting flowers and watching hummingbirds while sitting outside enjoying coffee with her husband. She also loved playing cards with her family, going to the casino and working on her ancestry background. Donna loved socializing with friends on Facebook and playing various games.

On June 27th, 1969 Donna was united in marriage to Edward "Wimpy" Wilkie and were together for 50 years. Together they had two daughters, Vicki Lynn of Wheatland, ND and Nikki Lee of Minot, ND.
Donna is survived by her husband, Edward "Wimpy" Wilkie of Belcourt, ND; her two daughters, Vicki (Tony) Houle and their three children, Korrina Marie, Kaitlyn Judith, and Anthony Joseph of Wheatland, ND and Nikki Lee Wilkie of Minot, ND; sisters, Linda, Susie, Marie, and Shelly Zaste, all of Belcourt, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Pete Zaste, three sisters, Sharon, Dorothy, and Cindy Zaste, and many aunts and uncles.

Pall Bearers include Chris Bercier, Devin Bercier, Tucker Bercier, Monti LaVallie, Anthony Houle, Evan DeCoteau, Dennis Tillotson.

A visitation will be from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Elick Funeral Home, Rolla, ND with a Graveside Service at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND at 10:00 AM. Father Tony Hession presiding.
