Donna LaFountain, age 68, of Belcourt, ND passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2026 at SMP-St. Kateri Hospital, Rolla, ND.
Donna Rae LaFountain was born on June 11, 1958 in Los Angeles, CA to Alex C. and Verna (Davis) LaFountain. She was raised in Belcourt and completed her education there as well. Donna was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She loved time spent with her family members, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved to care for. Donna enjoyed baking, always called upon to bake her special breads for family and friends, and singing on occasion. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
Donna is survived by her daughters, Crystal (Brad) LaRocque of Belcourt and Celeste LaFountain of Belcourt; 8 grandchildren, Briley LaRocque, Mitchell DeCoteau, Corey DeCoteau Jr., Gracie LaRocque, Emilyn LaRocque, Caleb DeCoteau, Marissa LaFountain, and Chase LaRocque; two great grandchildren, Deluka and Casey; sisters, Janice (Vincent) Azure, Yvonne St. Claire, and Barbara Azure, all of Dunseith; and nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Verna LaFountain and brothers, Patrick LaFountain, Duane LaFountain, and Donald LaFountain.
Casket Bearers are Mitchell DeCoteau, Corey DeCoteau Jr., Caleb DeCoteau, Carson Davis, Jade Malaterre, and Ron LaFountain. Eucharistic Gifts by Mike and Bonita Malaterre. Eulogy by Stuart LaFountain. Readers are Carol Jean Delorme and Marla Davis. Music by Chad Marcellais.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 18, 2026 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
