Donna Lou Hageness, 81 of Rolette, ND passed away on February 7, 2025, at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, North Dakota.

Donna Lou Hageness was born on June 15, 1943, in Esmond, ND, to Edward and Harriet College. She was raised in Esmond and later pursued her education at the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton. This is where she met the love of her life Harlow Hageness. Together they raised three sons, Jason, Jeremy, Justin. Donna worked many years as a bookkeeper for the Rolette Cenex. She built a life filled with love, family, and cherished traditions.

Donna had a deep passion for supporting her family in all their endeavors. Whether cheering at sporting events or simply spending time together, she treasured every moment. A dedicated Denver Broncos fan, she never missed an opportunity to root for her team. She also enjoyed playing cards and could often be found sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee in hand, soaking up the sunshine.

Her warmth and unwavering love for family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind. She will be lovingly remembered and forever missed.

Donna was a devoted mother to her sons Jason (Kara) Hageness, Jeremy (Shawna Norry) Hageness, and Justin (Desi) Hageness. She found immense joy in watching her grandchildren—Paige Hageness, Kennedy Hageness, Brooke (Seth) Soley, Alexis (Skyler) Higareda, Khalyn Hageness, Freya Hageness, and Liam Hageness—grow and thrive. Her love extended to her great-grandchildren Harlow Soley, Huntley Soley, Drake Higareda, and Archie Hageness. She also shared many memories with sisters Marlene (Ray) Koble, JoAnn Bergson, Diane Sisson (Jim), Dessie (Patrick) Scott, Judy Janssen, Sandi Lettenmaier, Candy (Wayne) Scherr, brothers Gary (Paul) College, Gail (Laurie) College, Bruce College, and Scott College and many nieces and nephews, as well as, Kindra Hageness.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harlow Hageness; her parents, Edward and Harriet College; her sisters Cynthia, Patsy and Sharon; and her brother Dale.

Casket Bearers are Scott College, Bruce College, Gail College, Gary College, Dorence Cote, Wayne Scherr, and Tim Danielson.  Reader are Pastor Gene Wilson and Scott College. Eulogy by Wayne Scherr.  Music by Neal Prichard and congregational hymns.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Valle Lutheran Church, Rolette, ND. Burial will follow service at Rolette City Cemetery, Rolette, ND. Pastor Gene Wilson officiating. Following burial services, the family would like everyone to join together at the Rolette Country Club, Rolette, ND for a time of food and fellowship in Donna's memory.
