Dennis Morin, age 76, of Belcourt, ND passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at his home.

Dennis Patrick Morin was born on August 14, 1947 in Belcourt, ND to Moses and Frances (St. Pierre) Morin.  He was raised in Dunseith and finished his education in Marty, SD.  Dennis was united in marriage to Janice Peltier on May 13, 1966 and together they had three children, Brenda, David, and Daniel.  They later divorced.  Dennis worked as a carpenter and in the valley for many years. He enjoyed time spent and visiting with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and companion, Bernita. Dennis liked watching old western movies and going to the casino.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Dennis is survived by his children, Brenda (Carl) Jerome of Belcourt, David (Jennifer) Morin of Belcourt, and Daniel (Christy Davis) Morin of Dunseith; companion, Bernita "Bunny' DesChamp of Belcourt; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; siblings, Clarence (Barbara) Belgarde, Shirley (Jimmy) Henry, Roland Morin, all of Dunseith; and many nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Moses and Frances Morin, and his siblings, Clifford Belgarde, Linda Morin, Lawrence Morin, Marvin Morin, and Sandra Charbonneau.

Urn Bearer will be his grandson, David Morin Jr.  Honorary Bearers are all family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and a Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
