Dennis Albertson, age 73, of St. John, ND passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at St. Kateri Hospital, Rolla, ND, with his daughter and son by his side.

Dennis Leland Albertson was born on July 9, 1950 in Rolla, ND to Curtis and Mary (Berginski) Albertson.  He was raised in St. John and graduated from St. John High School in 1968.  He grew up farming with his family, making hay and caring for dairy cows.  Dennis was the proud father of two children, Jeremy and Jodi and the proud papa to his granddaughter's, Tristen and Brylee.  He previously worked in maintenance at Parkview in Rolla.  Dennis enjoyed being outdoors, hunting deer and pheasants, and restoring old cars.  He also enjoyed going to auction sales, flea markets, thrift stores, pawn shops, and collecting guns. He could be found having breakfast every morning at the café in St. John with family or friends.  Dennis was talented at building things, always tinkering with something, working on anything motor related such as lawn mowers, chain saws, old tractors, etc. He was a jack of all trades, the true definition of "Mr. Fix It." Dennis will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Dennis is survived by his son, Jeremy Albertson of St. John; daughter, Jodi (Garrett) Swain of Fargo; two grandchildren, Tristen Charette and Brylee Albertson; sisters, Laurie Azure of Wahpeton and Sherry Albertson of Cherry Hill, NJ; nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Mary Albertson, niece, Tracy Azure, and brother-in-law, Charles Azure.

Casket Bearers are Brandon Swain, Chad Kuhn, Gary DeCoteau, Mike Azure, Brian Azure, and Mike Albertson.  Honorary Bearers are all family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the St. John Presbyterian Church, St. John, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM prior to services in the church. Burial will follow funeral services at the St. John City Cemetery, St. John, ND.
