Delema Dionne, age 85, of Rolette, ND, formerly of Belcourt, ND passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Rolette Community Care Center, Rolette, ND.

Delema Rose Dionne was born on August 7, 1935 in Belcourt, ND to David and Florence (Bercier) Dionne.  She was raised in Belcourt and completed her education there as well.  Delema was united in marriage to John W. DeCoteau in 1951, he preceded her in death.  She was the proud mother of eleven children, Dale, David, Dennis, Donald, Eva, Gerald, Anita, Jean, Andrew, John Jr., and Carol.  Delema was a wonderful mother and homemaker, raising her family and living in Belcourt her entire life.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and family time, cooking, dancing and singing, and reading.  Delema liked the outdoors, gardening and was a farm gal at heart.  She was also strong in her religious faith.  Delema will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family members and community members.

Delema is survived by her children, Dale (Lynda) DeCoteau of Belcourt, David DeCoteau of Belcourt, Dennis DeCoteau of Belcourt, Donald DeCoteau of Belcourt, Eva Houle of Belcourt, Gerald DeCoteau of Belcourt, Anita (Terry Engalls) of MN, Jean DeCoteau of Minot, Andrew DeCoteau of Bismarck, and John DeCoteau Jr. of Belcourt; grandchildren; great grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Husted of Billings, MT; and many nieces and nephews.

Delema was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Florence Dionne, husband, John W. DeCoteau, daughter, Carol, and brothers, Richard, Melvin, and Adolf Dionne.

A visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Fiddler's Hall, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 10:00 AM in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND.  Burial will follow in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
