Delane Lee Slater Sr., age 68, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND, surrounded by his beloved children while he made his journey to God's Kingdom.

Delane Lee Slater Sr., also known as "Slater," was born August 27, 1952, to Fred "George" Slater and Ruth Slater.   He was born and raised in Belcourt ND.  Slater had a special love for his dogs and his gardens and also enjoyed cooking and baking. He will be forever missed and always be cherished by his children and family.

Slater is survived by his two daughters, Tina (Sean) Keodalah, from Kent, WA; Lisa (Javier) Gallardo, from Wichita, KS; and his son, Delane "Kojack"  Lee Slater, Jr  from Everett, Wa; his grandchildren, Alexus Barnett, Brenden (Brittany) Barnett, Dayen (Melissa) Slater, Desean (Kalynn) Slater, Krisean (Ashley) Keodalah, Nesha (Ryan) Williams; 14 great-grandchildren;  five brothers, Bill (Marleen) Slater, Norman (Jenny) Wilkie, Mike (Billie Jo) Slater,  Kevin Slater and Charles Wilkie; his sisters, Terry (Mike) Farrow, Tammy (Troy) Neppl,  Debbie (Matt) Olsen, and Lori Slater.

He was preceded in death with his beloved parents, Fred "George" Slater and Ruth Slater and his beloved sister, Donna Wilkie.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Fiddler's Hall, Belcourt, ND.
