David St. Claire Sr., age 71, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

David Lee St. Claire was born on June 2, 1948 in Belcourt, ND to Carl St. Claire and June (DeCoteau) St. Claire. He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well. David was united in marriage to Deborah LaVallie on March 13, 1975 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Belcourt. She was the love of his life. He was employed at the Ojibwa Indian School for 34 years and then worked at the Skydancer Casino in Belcourt in maintenance. David was the proud father of five children, Carla, Jackie, David Jr., Travis, and Brittney. He enjoyed going fishing, traveling, and camping. He loved time spent with his family members at gatherings and holidays. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

David is survived by his children, Carla St. Claire of Belcourt, Jackie (Darryl) LeDoux of Belcourt, David (Mary) St. Claire Jr. of Belcourt, Travis St. Claire of Belcourt, and Brittney (William Bash) St. Claire of Bismarck; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; mother, June St. Claire of Belcourt; and siblings, Stella Strickland, Janice Peach, Cheryl St. Claire, Ervin St. Claire, William St. Claire, John St. Claire, and Claudette Bochant.

He was preceded in death by his father, his wife, sisters, Carmelita Renault and Carol Levin, and brothers, Clayton and Willard St. Claire.
Honorary Bearers are all family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the Skydancer Casino Event Center, Belcourt, ND. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
