David Henry, age 51, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND surrounded by his loving family, his wife and children.

David Allen Henry was born on July 10, 1969 in Belcourt, ND to Duane and Alice (Laverdure) Henry.  He was raised in Belcourt attended Turtle Mountain High School.  David had three children Rhawni, Shilo, and Kylie, before meeting the love of his life, Jessica Mears.  They were united in marriage on July 16, 2005 at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Rolla.  Together they had three more children, Autumn, Shayla, and Wyatt.  David loved his wife and children with all his heart and fought courageously to stay in their lives.  He was so proud of them all.   He desperately wanted to be present while his children were being raised and to see his second grandchild be born.

David worked many jobs throughout his life including for Gustafson Horse Ranch while in high school, Neameyer Body Shop, the manufacturing plant in Belcourt, Ardell-Clouse Trucking, Henry Trucking, Ward Williston, and Hess to Cobra Gas and Oil in Newberg as lease operator.  He enjoyed autobody and mechanics work, carpentry, trucking, and cooking.  David had a wonderful sense of humor, as will be remembered by his children, extended family, and his friends.  He took pride in his yardwork and liked being outdoors.  David's memory will live on through his family and he will be forever missed.

David is survived by his wife, Jessica Henry of Belcourt; children, Rhawni Bruce of Aberdeen, SD, Shilo (Brenna) Henry of Langdon, Kylie (Travis) Henry of Fargo, Autumn Henry of Bismarck, Shayla Henry of Belcourt, and Wyatt Henry of Belcourt; one grandchild, Noah Grode; Godchildren, Bella Mears and Amber Davis; father, Duane Henry of Belcourt; sister, Lisa Rogers and Family of Belcourt; mother-in-law, Fran Mears of Rolla; aunts and uncles, Zelma Peltier, Bernice and Harvey Smith, Richard and Sharon Laverdure, Terry "Tuffy" (Arliss) Henry, Clarence Henry, Noel Davidson, and LeRoy Henry; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Henry, sister, Cathy Henry, brother, Duane Henry Jr., grandparents, William "Bill" and Delima Laverdure and Phillip and Pearl Henry, aunts and uncles, Francis Peltier, Shirley and Paul Morin, Larry "Pumpkin" Henry, Fee Henry, and William "Billy" Laverdure, father-in-law, Jim Mears, and father-in-law, Ardell Clouse.

Casket Bearers are Perry Mears, Tim Mears, Philip Mears, Lane Mears, Rick Laverdure, and Darren Otto.  Honorary Bearers are all nieces, nephews, friends, and co-workers.  Music by C. Joe Parisien.  Pall placed by Autumn, Shayla, and Wyatt Henry.

A visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. John, ND with a Rosary and Eulogy Service at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the church.  Father Richard Fineo presiding. Burial will take place in the spring at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Rolla, ND.
