Cory Thomas, age 39, of Rolla, ND passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Cory Wayne Thomas was born on July 21, 1982 in Belcourt, ND to Wayne and Victoria (LaFontaine) Thomas.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education at Belcourt High School.  He furthered his education at Turtle Mountain Community College for one year.  Cory worked in construction.  He was the proud father of three children, Hailey, Korilynn, and Jason. Cory was united in marriage to Stephanie Herman, they were together for 17 years, they later divorced.  He enjoyed steer roping, which he was very good at, ice fishing, and playing guitar.  He also liked golfing and playing video games.  Cory was an avid Cowboys fan and also liked watching Nascar.  He loved time spent with family and friends.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Cory is survived by his children, Hailey Thomas of Belcourt, Korilynn Thomas of Belcourt, and Jason Thomas of Belcourt; father, Wayne Thomas of Rolla; siblings, Kelly Miller, Tina Miller, Danielle Thomas, Coty Thomas, JoBeth Thomas, and Ty Thomas; and nieces and nephews.

Cory was preceded in death by his mother, Victoria Thomas and grandparents, Moses Thomas, Evelyn Peterson, Eleanor Vallie, and Pete LaFontaine.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with Rosary Service beginning at 9:30 prior to the funeral mass.  A meal will be held at the KC Hall, Belcourt, ND following services.  Burial will be in St. Benedict's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND in the spring.
