Colleen Keplin, age 66, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at her home.
Colleen Marilyn Keplin was born on June 18, 1959 in Fort Yates, ND to Raymond J. Keplin and Madeline V. (Davis) Keplin. She was raised and attended school in both New Town and Belcourt, graduating from Turtle Mountain Community High School. Colleen furthered her education at Lake Region State College in Devils Lake obtaining an associate degree. Colleen was the proud mother of three daughters, Celeste, Ashley, and Kayla. She worked various jobs including at the state capital (Indian Affairs), United Tribes, Child Welfare (Belcourt), cooking for AA meetings (Richard Keplin), and being an active volunteer of the Sobriety Pow-wow.
Colleen loved traveling, collecting rocks/shells, playing bingo, and going to the casino. She was an avid animal lover and cared for many special pets throughout the years. Colleen enjoyed her flower garden and was truly a helping hand to many, always willing to give a ride when asked. Colleen was loved by her family and she enjoyed time spent with them. She will forever be missed and lovingly remembered.
Colleen is survived by her daughters, Ashely Keplin of Fargo and Kayla Brunelle of Belcourt; four grandchildren, Ashlen Jeanotte, Melvin Jeanotte, Maddison Jeanotte, and Kalen Larocque; siblings, Jolene Keplin of Belcourt, Clayton (Diane) Keplin of Belcourt, and Jon Jon (Angel) Keplin of Belcourt; and many nieces and nephews.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Madeline Keplin, daughter, Celeste Keplin, brother, Scott Keplin, special partner, Dave Martin, and great niece, Myleigh Keplin.
Honorary Pallbearers: Lucille Martin, Howie Wanna, Camille Driver–King, Kimmie Baker, Vickie Fox, Judy Hood, Gene White Family, and all family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 with visitation at 8:00 AM, Rosary/Eulogy at 9:00 AM and Funeral Services at 10:00 AM.
