Colby Nadeau, age 23, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Colby Bryant "Colbs" Nadeau was born on December 28, 2000 in Belcourt, ND to Jesse Malaterre Sr. and Leah Nadeau.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education at Belcourt High School.  He furthered his education at college for one year.  Colby had wonderful energy, always able to light up a room and make those around him laugh. His happy time was with Krissy and going to eat at Grammy's house.  He had many loving nicknames, "Colbs" by his father and "Cheeseball" by his grandmother, to name a few.  Colby enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, going to the casino and driving around.  He loved the time he spent with his family and friends. He was part of the Buffalo Lodge Sundance Family which he attended yearly since he was a child and where ceremonial fire and traditional ceremonies are held. Colby will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Colby is survived by his father, Jesse Malaterre Sr.; grandma, Cindy Malaterre; grammy, Linda Nadeau; and siblings, Trever Nadeau, Jesse Malaterre Jr., Kallie Nadeau, and Brayden Malaterre.

Colby was preceded in death by his mother, Leah Nadeau, girlfriend, Krisandra Gillis-Hunt, an infant son, and grandparents, Patrick and Clara Nadeau.

Honorary Bearers are Keith Nadeau, Harley St. Claire, Trever Nadeau, Jesse Malaterre Jr., Hayden DeCoteau, and Rolland Morin.
