Clinton McCloud, age 71, of Dunseith, ND passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at SMP Health, Rolla, ND.

Clinton Lee McCloud was born on August 26, 1950 in Bottineau, ND to Collin and Mabel (Houle) McCloud.  He was raised in Dunseith and attended school in Bottineau, ND.  Clinton worked as a plumber in his younger years in Kansas and then as a cook locally after moving back home.  He enjoyed cooking, always willing to give tips to family members and friends.  Clinton loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, picking berries, gardening, and hauling wood.  He liked being picked up to go for rides or to run errands on occasion.  He was blessed with a large family and enjoyed visiting with them.  Clinton will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Clinton is survived by his siblings, Ernest McCloud, Pete McCloud, Donna (Kenneth "Swede") Johnson, twin brother Clayton (Marilyn) McCloud, Kenny McCloud, Dale McCloud, Bonnie McCloud, Collin Jr. (Germaine) McCloud, Colleen (Art) Cartwright, Byron (Lynn) McCloud, Ann (Tom) Carwright, Kevin (Luella) McCloud, and Debbie Thibert; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, Collin and Mabel McCloud, siblings, Shirley McCloud, Sylvia Haakenson, Viola McCloud, and Leland McCloud, sister-in-law, Sally McCloud, and brother-in-law, Rodney Haakenson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Eagle Heart Cultural Center (Log Cabin), Dunseith, ND.  A lunch will be served following services.  A private family memorial and burial will be held in June 2022.
