Clinton Brunelle, age 48, of Rolla, ND passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026 at Sanford Hospital, Bismarck, ND.
Clinton J. Brunelle was born on May 13, 1977 in Belcourt, ND to Alan Blue and Theresa (Brunelle) Parisien. When he was little the pots and pans in the cabinets were played as drums, even though he could barely crawl. We knew we had a drummer. He was raised in Belcourt with his father's side of family as they all were close like siblings. Completing his education at Turtle Mountain High School in 1996. We always knew he was gifted in music as attended state competitions all 4 years of high school. Clinton furthered his education at United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck for his CDL certificate, Northwestern College in Grand Forks for computer science, and Turtle Mountain College for carpentry as well as an associate's degree in science and art.
He worked in maintenance at the TMBC tribal office and then for two years on the bridge project in New Town. Clinton was beautiful musician who was gifted at playing the drums, often playing with local bands. He loved traveling with bands to many different places. He enjoyed time outdoors fishing with family, friends and all the time spent with his family members, especially being a wonderful uncle and cousin. Clinton 'Chipper" will always be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by many family and friends.
Clinton is survived by his mother, Theresa 'Parisien' Brunelle of Belcourt; father, Alan Blue of Belcourt; children, Kendall Charging of Montana, Britton Brunelle of California, and Braydon Brunelle of North Dakota; and a brother, Alan Brunelle of North Dakota, and Levi LaRocque and many nieces/nephews.
Clinton was preceded in death by his son, Wyatt DeCoteau, maternal and paternal grandparents, Eugene 'Jobey' Brunelle and Mary Ann Blue, Francis Martin Parisien and Annebelle Dussume, aunts, Sharon Parisien and Sheila Desjarlais and uncles, Arthur Brunelle and Eugene 'Guy' Brunelle Jr., Godfather, James A. Parisien, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass. Meal to follow after funeral services at the KC Hall, Belcourt, ND.
