Obituary

Clark Laducer, age 64, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND.


Clark Louis Laducer was born on December 28, 1955 in Belcourt, ND to Louis and Elizabeth (DeLong) Laducer. Clark was raised in Belcourt, California, and Chicago, IL. He attended school in Chicago, Belcourt, and Wahpeton. Clark also attended United Tribes. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp on April 3, 1973 and completed his service in 1975. His basic training was in San Diego, California and from there he took the USS Monticello ship to his base. He was then stationed in the Philippines and on to Mount Fuji, Japan. Following Japan he was stationed in Quantico, Virginia where he was a rifle instructor until his service was finished.


Clark married Renee St. Claire in 1975 and together they had a daughter, Robin in September of 1975, they later divorced. He moved back to Belcourt where he met the love of his life, Elizabeth (Keplin) Laducer. They were united in marriage on December 2, 1977 and together had three children, William, Samuel Sr., and Emily. Clark worked various jobs doing construction and for the Tribal Commodity Warehouse, retiring in 2003. He was an avid member of the VFW 4516 and the Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree, where he was financial secretary for the 3rd Degree for 25 years.


Clark was a fisherman, hunter, and trapper. He enjoyed playing cards, bingo, casino, and Yahtzee. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV, especially his favorite NFL team, the Patriots. He loved to watch his children play sports as well. Clark loved gardening, planting trees, picking berries, and anything outdoors. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family members and many friends.


Clark is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Keplin) Laducer of Belcourt; children, Robin Laducer of Mandan, William (Sheena) Laducer of Belcourt, Samuel (Kelly) Laducer of Belcourt, and Emily Laducer of Belcourt; sixteen grandchildren, Jeana, Shaiyan, Ryan, David III, Sarah, Alex, Layla, Samuel Jr., Isabella, Savana, Sawyer, Jack, Titas, Owen, Jon, and Maximus; and his siblings, Peggy Laducer of Grand Forks, Cathy (Brian) Laducer of Belcourt, Tami (Vernon) Laducer of Belcourt, Connie Laducer of Grand Forks, Theresa Laducer of Belcourt, and Norbert (Patti) Laducer of Windom, MN.


He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, William and Delima Keplin, sister, Jean Broussard, nephew, Mathew Laducer, and a great niece.


Casket Bearers are John Bercier, Terrance LaVallie Jr., James Laducer, Vincent Belgarde, Mark Keplin II, and Travis Charette. Honorary Bearers are all grandsons, brother-in-laws, and nephews. Music by Patty Allery and friends. Eucharistic Gifts by Annette Charette, Cleo Keplin, Cathy Laducer, and Tami Laducer. Readers are Tamara Gladue and Jamie Charette. Rosary led by Pete and Annette Charette.


A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM. Father Tony Hession presiding. Burial will be in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
