Christopher Poitra, age 42, of Dunseith, ND passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Quentin Burdick Memorial Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Christoher Lawrence Poitra was born on February 18, 1982 in Belcourt, ND to Paul Baker Jr. and Yvette Vivier.  He was raised in Belcourt and graduated from Belcourt High School.  Christopher enjoyed being outdoors fishing, watching television, and video games.  He was dearly loved by his family members and friends. Christopher will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.

Christopher is survived by his mother, Yvette Vivier of Dunseith; father, Paul Baker Jr. of Gun Barrel City, TX; siblings, Jeffrey Poitra of Rolla, Krystina DeCoteau of Mandan, Tashina Parker of Belcourt, Hershell Martin of Fort Worth, TX, and Ryan Baker of Gun Barrel City, TX; and niece and nephew, Isabella and Mason Vivier, both of Belcourt.

Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rose Poitra and Gilbert DeCoteau and uncles, Roderick Poitra, David Poitra Sr., and Louis Aiken.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Eagle Heart Cultural Center (Log Cabin) in Dunseith, ND.
