Christian Garceau, age 55, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of St. John, ND passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at his home due to complications of diabetes.

Christian Laverne Garceau was born on March 29, 1970 in Rolla, ND to Gary and Barbara (Gustafson) Garceau.  He was raised in St. John and completed his education there as well, graduating in 1988.  Christian furthered his education at North Dakota State University obtaining an agricultural degree.  He enlisted in the National Guard and received an honorable discharge after six years.  Christian worked various jobs throughout his life including trucking, construction, and agricultural geared jobs.  He was the proud father of one son, Mitchell.  Christian loved being outdoors riding his motorcycle and camping. He also enjoyed cooking, playing guitar, and most recently learning to play the violin.  Christian was dearly loved by his family and will be forever missed.

Christian is survived by his son, Mitchell (Sarah) Beck of St. John; parents, Gary and Barb Garceau of St. John; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Christian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman and Helen Garceau and Laverne and Della Gustafson, uncles, Donovan and Gary Gustafson and aunt, Jean Garceau Wolf.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. John, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Father Richard Fineo presiding. Burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, St. John, ND.

Memorials are preferred to the American Kidney Fund, a foundation that provides rides to those in need of transportation to dialysis.
