Charles Lilley Jr., age 94 of Belcourt, ND passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Quentin Burdick Memorial Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Charles Stanley "Musky" Lilley, Jr. was born on August 5, 1929 in Belcourt, ND to Charles Sr. and Clara (Gourneau) Lilley.  He was raised in Belcourt and also attended boarding school.  Charles was united in marriage to Frances "Frenchie" Brunelle on March 20, 1942 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Belcourt, celebrating 59 years of marriage.  They were blessed with eight children, Linda, Brenda, Shirley, Brian "Josh," Nicole, Carrie, Bonita, and Jarrod "Todd." Charles and Frenchie enjoyed traveling together and he often patiently waiting while was rummaging on their travels.  Charles worked for the Belcourt School system for 25 years as a bus driver, Green Thumb, retiring in the early 90's. He enjoyed the outdoors, cutting his yard and golfing, as well as playing pool and bowling.  Charles regularly ate breakfast and lunch at "Linda's" in Rolette.  He meant the world to many, including his family members and many friends.  Charles will be lovingly remembered and forever missed.

Charles Jr. is survived by his children, Linda Lilley of Belcourt, Brenda (Linus) Davis of Belcourt, Shirley (Allan) Malaterre of Belcourt, Brian "Josh" Lilley Sr.  of Belcourt, Bonita Lilley of Belcourt, and Nicole Lilley of Fargo; 21 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Charles Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Clara Lilley, wife, Frances "Frenchie" Lilley, sister, Marcenia Brunelle, daughter, Carrie Lilley, son, Jarrod "Todd" Lilley, nine great grandchildren, and sisters, Marlene Ward, Irene Sutton, Joyce Lenoir, and Mary Longie.

Urn Bearers are Kurt Lilley and Chad Poitra.  Honorary Bearers are family and friends. Music by Terry Baker and Craig Lunday.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Fiddler's Hall, Belcourt, ND.  Burial will take place in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
