Charles "Charlie" LaFromboise Jr., age 45, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Charles "Charlie" Clarence LaFromboise Jr. was born on July 9, 1978 to Clarence and Evelyn (Schroeder) LaFromboise.  He was raised in Rolette County and completed his education there as well.  Charlie was well known throughout Rolette County working at KALIX, Leevers in Rolla, the Belcourt Fire Department, KC bingo, and VFW bingo, to name a few places where he made a lasting impression on all who he came in contact with.  Charlie had a heart of gold, making fast friends with many. He loved the outdoors, going fishing, hunting, and camping.  Charlie also was an avid Vikings fan, always cheering on his favorite team.  Charlie was also an altar boy for the Catholic Church. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family members and many friends.

Charlie is survived by his father, Clarence (Bernice Morin) LaFromboise of Rolla; sisters, Jolene (David) Belgarde of Dunseith and Sherry (Jason) Taylor of Belcourt; half-brothers, Leo LaFromboise and Jamie LaFromboise, both of Rolla; and many Godchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn LaFromboise, step-father, Thomas "Butch" Malaterre, brother, Clarence LaFromboise, half-sister, Rose Belgarde, niece, Wisdom LaFromboise, and grandparents, Walter and Mary Schroeder and Leo and Irene LaFromboise, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral mass will be held at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND.  Burial will take place in the spring of 2024 at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
