Obituary

Carol Jeanotte, age 64, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Carol May (Perronteau) Jeanotte was born on July 8, 1957 in Belcourt, ND to Alexander and Rosella (Gourneau) Perronteau.  She attended grade school in Chalen, Washington and then graduated from Bottineau High School.  Carol furthered her education at Bottineau College for two years.  She was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother.  Carol enjoyed working on crafts and artwork, making rosaries for the church, and became a wonderful seamstress.  She liked her Friday radio bingo and loved spending time with her family members and friends.  Carol will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Carol is survived by her husband, Darryl Jeanotte of Belcourt; children, Shannon Perronteau of Belcourt, Chad Jeanotte of Belcourt, Denise Jeanotte of Belcourt and Aleasha Antoine of Minnesota; seven grandchildren, Frank, Carter, Mathias, Tyler, Cheyenne, Shantah, and Nevaeh; a great grandchild on the way; siblings, Janice Perronteau of Belcourt, Sherrie Kidd of Canada, George (Collene) Perronteau of Minot and Dale (Vickie) Perronteau of Kentucky; and nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Rosella Perronteau, brothers, Douglas and Gregory Perronteau and sister, Linda Perronteau.

Casket Bearers are Chad Jeanotte, Heath Gourneau, Jimmy LaVallie Jr., Nicolas "NJ" Martin Jr., Chatin Martin and Lee Jeanotte.  Honorary Bearers are Benny and Kevy Jeanotte, Dale and George Perronteau, LeRoy and Joe Jeanotte, and Terry Gourneau.  Music by Benny Jeanotte, Kevy Jeanotte, Mike Madrid, and Dolly Belgarde.  Eucharistic Gifts by Janelle Gourneau and Kristy Poitra.  Readers are Carleen Murphy and Melanie Madrid.  Pall placed by Bernadette Madrid, Sela Madrid, Isa Madrid, and Nakiaa DeCoteau.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. John, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will follow at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.  Father Tony Hession presiding.
