Carol Azure, age 77, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Carol Azure was born on December 15, 1945 in Rolette, ND to Fredrick and Delia (LaFountain) Azure. She was raised in Rolette and completed her education there as well, graduating in 1963. She furthered her education at UND in Grand Forks.  Carol was united in marriage to Gerald "Jerry" Azure on September 15, 1965.  Together they raised three children, Sandra, David and Dale.  Carol owned and operated Azure's Store and was co-owner of Azure Repair near Belcourt for over 25 years.  She enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis Presley, reading, and going to bingo with her sisters. Carol loved time spent with her family members, her children and grandchildren, and friends. She liked going out on occasion for a country cruise to reminisce and be outdoors.  Carol will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Carol is survived by her children, Sandra (Mark) Juntunen of Edgewater, FL, David (Tanis) Azure of Fargo, and Dale Azure of Belcourt; grandchildren, Eric Juntunen, Ayla Azure, Amanda Laducer, Mathew Laducer, Chenoa Gunville, and Jessa Laducer; siblings, Morris (Luella) Azure of Rolla, Aloyius (Gloria) Azure of Mesa, AZ, and Christine Thompson of Belcourt; and nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Delia Azure, husband, Gerald "Jerry" Azure, sisters, Rosalie (Edmond) Thomas, Cecelia (Ernest) Thomas, and Viola (Hartley) Carlson; father and mother-in-law, Maxim "Mike" and Clemence (Wilkie) Azure and sister and brother-in-laws, MaryAnn (Victor) Delong, Sonny "Herman" (Patricia) Azure, Donna M. Azure, Ina Azure, and Gary Azure.

Urn Bearers are Bradley Thomas, Bruce Thomas, Jeff Thomas, and Brian Thomas.  Honorary Bearers are all nieces, nephews, family, and friends.  Eucharistic Gifts by Morris Azure, Christine Thompson, and Maryann Azure. Music by Terry Baker. Readers are Lenny Carlson and Kim Thomas.  Rosary led by Josef Marion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will follow at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND. Father Fred Alexander presiding.
