Bruce Bercier, age 69, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Bruce Bercier was born on August 3, 1949 in Belcourt, ND to Paul Sr. and Mabel (Wilkie) Bercier. He was raised in St. John, ND and attended school in Belcourt. Bruce was a self-employed mechanic for many years. He was known as a jack of all trades and was often found tinkering or working on something. Bruce was a very selfless person, always lending a hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and looking out at the lake, often wondering how he could get rid of the geese. Bruce passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the age of 69 years old. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family members and many friends.

Bruce is survived by his brothers, George Bercier of St. John and Jerry Bercier of Belcourt; sister, Peggy Bercier of Belcourt; sons, Bruce Bercier Jr. of Belcourt, Patrick Bercier of Dunseith, and Teddy Bercier of Missouri; daughters, Lisa Montriel of Belcourt, Jennifer Kofmehl of Washington, Misty Bercier of Fargo, Amanda Vivier of Horrace, Jessica Bercier of Fargo, Mary Bercier of Dunseith, and Carla Bercier of Fargo; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Sr. and Mabel Bercier, paternal and maternal grandparents, and siblings, Paul Bercier Jr., Rosella Malaterre, Jane Beck, Donald Bercier, Shirley Poitra, Clinton Bercier, and Mary Lou Cain.

Casket Bearers are Barry DeCoteau Jr., John Bercier, David Belgarde Jr., Donavan DeCoteau, Devin Vivier, Travon Spears, Cory Poitra, and Walter Jack Malaterre. Honorary Bearers are all family and friends. Music by Patrick Terry Baker. Eulogy by Gail Bercier. Readers are Joyce Delorme, Tracy Schroeder, and Shonel McCloud. Pall placed by his children. A visitation will begin at 6:30 PM on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Monday, July 15, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the church with Fr. Jim Mulligan, SOLT presiding. Burial will follow at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
