Obituary

Brandon Laducer, age 35, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 in Belcourt, ND.

Brandon Richard Laducer was born August 19, 1985 in Belcourt, ND on the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indian Reservation to Renee K. Martin and Gene R. Laducer.  He was a member of the Migizi (Eagle) Clan and was names Gwekigaabo (Turns Around).

He spent his early childhood in Duluth, MN and Belcourt, ND.  Brandon achieved the level of honor student from kindergarten through 8 th grade.  He was the Junior Brave of the Fon Du Lac School in Cloquet, MN.  In his early years, Brandon had a passion for dancing and was a talented grass dancer.  He was proud of his heritage and loved his culture.

His gift of communication and compassion for his family, and friends showed an inner strength that was the core of Brandon's soul.  Brandon's spirit was genuine and loyal.  He was kind, gentle, and always there for anyone who needed his help.  Brandon loved his family unconditionally, he was proud and protective of his brothers, sister, and children.  His dad was his lifeline or in Brandon's words his "ride or die."

Brandon's passion for music led him to playing drums.  He especially loved to watch his Uncle Jeff and perform with Snuzzy.  He loved to tease his brother Christian about who was the better drummer.

He was a natural athlete and loved the game of basketball.  He was especially proud of his younger brother Adam who was an accomplished basketball and football player.  He loved the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago Blackhawks and was a diehard Viking fan.

He loved home cooking, especially his grandma Dado's fried chicken and anything prepared by his Auntie Annette.  Brandon was a passionate reader and would devour books by the hour.  His goal was to share life experiences with the younger generation to help them find their way.

Brandon is survived by children, Brandon Richard Wind and Tiaunna Renee Laducer; special niece/daughter, Lilliauna Cook; mother, Renee K. Martin and Stepmother, Carol Jollie; his father, Gene (Leslie M.) Laducer; siblings, Swayze Henry, Tanner Delorme, Justin Laducer, Christian Laducer, and Adam Jollie, Sage Michael Savage, Cedar (Jerimiah Rule), Eliza Marie Savage, Che (Gabrielle Harrison) Michael Wassegijig Price; grandparents, Richard Laducer, Darline Amyotte, and Dennis Enno Sr.; aunts and uncles, Jeff (Snuzzy) Laducer, Dennis Enno Jr., Annette Laducer, Lori (Sean) LaFountain, Jody Laducer, and Naomi (Curtis) DeCoteau.

Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Delores Laducer.

Casket Bearers are Justin Laducer, Christian Laducer, Adam Jollie, Swayze Henry, Tanner Delorme, Che Michael Wassegijig Price, Curtis DeCoteau Jr., and Charles Goodwin.  Honorary Bearers are Jeff Laducer, Trent LaFountain, Connor LaFountain, Nate LaFountain, Jaelen Laducer, Isaiah Davis, Elijah Laducer, Seth Laducer, Isaac Laducer, Peter Laducer, Josh Poitra, Dennis Enno, Rodney Enno, Curtis DeCoteau Sr., Derick Enno, and Jordan Enno.  Music by Richard "Sox" Davis and Chad Marcellais.  Readers are Amanda DeCoteau and Ashly McCloud.  Eulogy by Stephanie "Snuzzy" Laducer and Christian Laducer.  Father Jim Mulligan and Deacon Francis "Fatti" Davis presiding.

A visitation will begin at 5:00 PM at Fiddler's Hall, Belcourt, ND on Sunday, August 30, 2020 with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be Monday, August 31, 2020 at 10:00 AM in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
