Bohdan Chromyj, age 71, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, MN.

Bohdan Michael Chromyj was born on April 12, 1955 in Passaic, NJ to William and Pamela (Dubyk) Chromyj.  He was raised in New Jersey and completed his education there as well, graduating in 1973.  Bohdan enlisted in the United States Army in 1978 and received an honorable discharge in 1985, serving in Korea and furthering his education after his discharge.  He was united in marriage to Marianne DeLong on October 2, 1981 in El Paso, Texas.  Together they raised four children, Lee, Shane, Ashley, and Thomas.  Bohdan was employed at TMCC from 1997 to 2018 at which time he retired.  He went back to work at TMCC in December of 2020 and worked until December of 2023, retiring for a second time.  He then went to work at Skydancer Casino in February of 2024 where he was currently employed.  He liked to remain busy at all times and enjoyed his work on computers.  Bohdan enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping, and having family time at BBQ's, affectionately known by his family at the BBQ King or Grill Master. He also liked watching his favorite sports teams the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Mets.  Bohdan loved his family dearly and the time they spent together.  He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.

Bohdan is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years, Marianne Chromyj of Belcourt; children, Lee (Kathy) DeLong of Belcourt, Shane Martin of Rolette, Ashley Chromyj of Belcourt, and Thomas (Kristie) Chromyj of New Islip, NY; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and siblings, twin brother, Walter Chromyj of Clifton, NJ and Nick Chromyj of Clifton, NJ.

Bohdan was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, Ernest and Rose DeLong, and three brothers, William, Joe, and Steve.

A Celebration of Life and Meal will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Skydancer Casino Event Center, Belcourt, ND to honor the life of Bohdan Chromyj.
