Betty Summers, age 79, of Dunseith, ND passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Betty Ann Summers was born on November 12, 1942 in Montana to John and Bernice (LeCompte) Henry.  She completed her elementary and high school education and obtained a Certified Nurse Assistant program, furthering her education.  Betty was the proud mother of six children, John, Kirk, Steve, Karen, Lisa, and Craig.  She worked as a certified nurse aide for many years in Grafton, Garrison, and Grand Forks.  Betty enjoyed playing Bingo, her favorite hobby, going to rummage sales and second-hand stores, and sewing.  She also liked to work on puzzles and reading.  Betty will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Betty is survived by her children, John Summers of Dunseith, Kirk Summers of Billings, MT, Karen Summers of Grand Forks, Lisa Enno of White Shield, and Craig Peltier of Grand Forks; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; siblings, James "Jimmy" Henry, Vivian Keplin, Doraldine Henry, Brenda Henry, Ted Henry, Patrick "Jay" Henry, John Henry and Mark Henry; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bernice Henry, son, Steve Summers, and siblings, Loretta Vivier, Joyce Camrud, Brian Henry, and Melvin Henry.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Eagle Heart Cultural Center (Log Cabin), Dunseith, ND.  Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Eagle Heart Cultural Center (Log Cabin), Dunseith, ND with a meal following services at Noon.
