Bernard DeLong, age 65, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Quentin Burdick Memorial Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Bernard J. DeLong was born on December 26, 1959 in Belcourt, ND to George and Lucille (Brunelle) DeLong.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education in Belcourt as well.  Bernard was united in marriage to Diane Martin on October 21, 2002 in Rolla and then had their marriage blessed in the church on February 1, 2025.  He was the father of a son, Daniel, daughter, Richanda, and stepchild, Michael.  Bernard worked for his uncle Sonny at Belcourt Oil for many years as well as, a self-employed mechanic.  He had a wonderful sense of humor, always teasing, joking, and talking with others on the phone.  Bernard's passion in life was helping others.  He had a special relationship with many, many people.  Bernard will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Bernard is survived by his wife, Diane DeLong of Belcourt; children, Daniel DeCoteau of Belcourt, Richanda DeCoteau of Belcourt, and stepson, Michael (Lorie) Martin of Belcourt; grandchildren, Ethan Martin, Michael Martin Jr., Zaizha Azure, Deniah Nadeau, Abree DeCoteau, and Cylee DeCoteau; siblings, Carol Demery of Belcourt, Robert DeLong of Belcourt, and Alberta (Marvin) Malaterre of Belcourt; and nieces and nephews.

Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lucille DeLong, brothers, Freddie and Myron, sister, Marlys, sister-in-law, Linda, brother-in-law, James, nephew, Dustin Vondal, and Godchild, Jason DeLong.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 25, 2025 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.
