Austin Poitra, age 24, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022 in Devils Lake, ND.

Austin Lee Poitra, "Lebleut Jit Jot," was born on April 23, 1998 in Belcourt, ND to Jared Morin and Jolene Poitra.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  Austin worked at Dale's Café in Dunseith for a short time.  He enjoyed riding his bike, being outdoors, and going to the casino on occasion.  He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his family members and many friends.

Austin is survived by his father, Jared Morin of Belcourt; mother, Jolene Poitra of Devils Lake; brothers, Devin Poitra, Lane Poitra, Riley Charbonneau, Jace Poitra, and Isaiah Charbonneau; sisters, Stephanie Poitra, Jayden Poitra, Alexa Charbonneau, Stevie Davis, Kelsey Keplin, and Rochelle Keplin; grandparents, Linda Poitra and Audrey Morin; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Austin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dominic Poitra Jr. and uncle, Steve Poitra.

Honorary Bearers are all Austin's brothers.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Father Tony Hession presiding.
