Arne Domben, age 82, of Rolette, ND passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at LaDonna's Senior Living Home in Rugby, ND.

Arne Leroy Domben was born on April 26, 1937 in Rolette, ND to Andrew and Lilly (Hansen) Domben. He was raised in Rolette and attended Cleveland Country School. Arne was united in marriage to Jean Azure on October 13, 1965 in Pierre, South Dakota. Together they raised four children, Danny, Laura, Todd, and Amy Jo. Arne was a farmer and rancher throughout his working years. Arne supplemented his farming and ranching throughout the years by working for R and O Construction out of Rolette and Custom Air out of Grand Forks. He followed and cheered on his children and grandchildren during their years of school and sports, always a strong supporter of anything in which they were involved. Arne enjoyed auction sales, playing pinochle, square dancing, reading and going out to check his cattle and crops. He will be lovingly remembered and his quick wit and warm smile will forever be missed.

Arne is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean Domben of Rolette; children, Danny of Rolette, Laura (Tim) Pfeifer of Rugby, Todd (Ellen) of Edinberg, and Amy (Brian) Leonard of Rolette; twelve grandchildren, Tanner Thomas, Taya Domben, Aaron Thompson, Jaden Pfeifer, Jalen Pfeifer, Darian Domben, Ty (MacKenzie) Domben, Zachery (Eric) Vetter, Bryce Leonard, Gabe Leonard, Maria Leonard, and Justine Leonard; great grandson, Carter Thompson; brother, John (Sarah) Domben of Ellsworth, WI; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Arne was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Lilly Domben, grandson, Derek Thompson, brothers, Lief, Earl, and Conrad Domben, and sister, Luella Delmaire.

Casket Bearers are grandsons, Tanner Thomas, Aaron Thompson, Jaden Pfeifer, Jalen Pfeifer, Ty Domben, Zachery Vetter, Bryce Leonard, and Gabe Leonard. Eucharistic Gifts presented by grandchildren, Justine Leonard, Taya Domben, Carter Thompson, and Darian Domben. Readers are grandchildren, Maria Leonard and Ty Domben. A visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rolette, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 19, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the church with Fr. Paulraj Thondappa Thomas presiding. Burial will take place at Willow Creek Cemetery, Overly, ND.
