Archie LaVallie Jr., age 77, of Dunseith, ND passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the Dunseith Community Nursing Home, Dunseith, ND.

Archie Albert LaVallie Jr. was born on August 13, 1946 in Belcourt, ND to Archie Sr. and Rachel (Brunelle) LaVallie.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  He furthered his education at college for a short time.  Archie was a talented artist, creating beautiful beading work and crafts, which he enjoyed doing.  He liked music and played guitar and sang.  Archie loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed going to the casino and had a wonderful sense of humor, debating with family and telling stories.  Archie will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Archie Jr. is survived by his children, Michael "Mickey" Wilkie of Grand Forks, Leon Peltier of Dunseith, and Raelene Enno of Dunseith; grandchildren, Nevada Wilkie, Koldyn Wilkie, Joseph Enno, Jeremy Enno, Rolanda Jeanotte, and Vincent Smith Jr.; great grandchild, Tylen Jay Wilkie; sister, Sandra LaVallie of Belcourt; brother, Blake (Rhonda) LaVallie of Belcourt; and many nieces and nephews.

Archie Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Sr. and Rachel LaVallie, grandson, Jayden Wilkie, and siblings, Edward LaVallie, Lulu LaVallie, Frances Lilley, Richard LaVallie, Carol Johnson, Darlene Poitra, and Bonita LaVallie.

Urn Bearer is Vinier Davis III.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 7th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will be held in the spring of 2024.
