Annabelle Cain, age 91, of Rolla, ND passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Quentin Burdick Memorial Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Annabelle Marie Cain was born on August 13, 1931 in Belcourt, ND to Alex and Delima (Thibert) Langan. She was raised in St. John and completed her education there as well. Annabelle was united in marriage to Clarence John Cain on February 14, 1948 in Rolla. Together they raised eight children, Jimmy, Barbara, Dorothy, Gladys, Donald, Betty, Duane, and Patty. She worked as a nurse aide at the hospital in Rolla for over 30 years. After retiring she held many part-time jobs including at Prairie Lanes, the golf course, peace gardens, N8's Café, the St. John school lunchroom, a care giver, and at the Belcourt hospital. Annabelle enjoyed life. She brought great joy and laughter to everyone that she met. She loved going shopping, rummaging, or to a thrift store, which turned in to great adventures for her, family and friends. Annabelle will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Annabelle is survived by her children, Barbara Martell of Belcourt, Dorothy (Chuck) Neault of Chino, CA, Gladys Rutledge of Rolla, Donald (Julie) Cain of St. John, Betty (Tom) Abrahamson of St. John, Duane Cain of St. John, and Patty (Tony) Davis of St. John, as well as grandson, Bobby Martell of Belcourt; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her very best friend, Carol Hoover of St. John; and many nieces and nephews.

Annabelle was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Delima Langan, husband, John, son, Jimmy Cain, son-in-law, Robert Martell, grandchildren, Kristin Stewart, Deseire Scott, Joey Cain, and Shirley (Pepion) Anderson, and siblings, Art Langan, Sonny Langan, Rosella Belgarde, Regina Elliott, Eva Giesbrecht, Evelyn Indvik, and Rita Langan.

Urn Bearer will be Duane Cain. Honorary Bearers are all grandchildren. Reader is Julie Cain. Eucharistic Gifts by Cade Gustafson and Alex Abrahamson. Music by Eugene Belgarde, Kevin Jeanotte, and Bennett Jeanotte.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. John, ND with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM and Rosary Service at 10:00 AM prior to the funeral mass. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, St. John, ND. Father Richard Fineo presiding.
