Amy C. Nelson, age 88, of Rolette, ND, passed away on September 20, 2026, at Heart of America Hospital in Rugby, surrounded by her loving family.
Amy was born to Carl and Agnes (Kjetlien) Jelsing on July 10, 1938, in Rugby. She was raised on the family farm, graduated from Rugby High School in 1956, and continued on to college. Amy also had 19 great-grandchildren, including Lief, Lincoln, Maisie, Camden, Jaeger, Evie, Tripp, Aksel, Kailey, Korbin, Selik, Emryn, Solvei, Walker, Lettie, Henry, Kennisyn, Madden, and Bekett. She is also survived by sister-in-law Melinda Jelsing of Rugby and many nieces and nephews.
Amy was preceded in death by parents Carl and Agnes Jelsing; husband Arnold Nelson, grandson Adam Nelson, and brothers Selmer and Clifford Jelsing.
