Aloysius "Al" Nadeau, age 68, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 at his home.

Aloysius Damian "Al" Nadeau was born on August 18, 1957 in Belcourt, ND to Bruno and Darlene Rose (Houle) Nadeau.  He was raised in Belcourt as a young child and then completed his education in Denver, CO.  He resided in Denver for many years before returning to his home in Belcourt.  Al was the proud father of three children, Leroy, Tony, and Margaret.  He worked as a mechanic for many years, enjoying working on and fixing vehicles.  Al loved time spent with his family members, his children, grandchildren, and siblings, as well as his companion, Della, often driving around on road trips for enjoyment.  Al liked Facebook and spending time with is faithful companions, his dogs, Shadow and Harley.  Al will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Aloysius is survived by his sons, Leroy Nadeau of Belcourt and Tony (Malori Smith) Nadeau of Rolla; companion, Della Konefes of Belcourt; six grandchildren, Ireland, Mercedes, Stephen (Jackie), Nevaeh (Nicholas), Avayah, and Aviannah; six great grandchildren, Amelia, Oliver, James, Jacob, Christian, and Nathan; siblings, Beverly (Jesus) Nadeau of Dunseith, Annie Maroles of Denver, Bruno Jr. (Linda) Nadeau of Dunseith, Mark Nadeau of Belcourt, Patrick Nadeau of Dunseith, Rudy (Bernice) Nadeau of Ft. Morgan, CO, and Ronnie (Ruby) Nadeau of Belcourt; and nieces and nephews.

Aloysius was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Margaret Nadeau, brothers, John, Andrew, Jerry and Donald Nadeau, and sisters, Nora Champagne, Barbara Nadeau, JoAnn Belgarde, Josephine Nadeau and Debbie Casias.

Casket Bearers are Tony Nadeau, Bruno Nadeau Jr., Patrick Nadeau, Mark Nadeau, Nicholas Davis, and Bill LaRocque.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. John, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at Noon prior to the funeral mass.  Father Richard Fineo presiding. Burial will be in St. Benedict's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND in the spring.
