Alan Brunelle, age 74, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at his home.

Alan James Brunelle was born on June 4, 1946 in Belcourt, ND to William and Edna (Morin) Brunelle.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well, graduating from Belcourt High School in 1964.  Alan furthered his education at TMCC in Belcourt obtaining an Associate of Arts Degree.  He was united in marriage to Linda Poitra on November 9, 1976 in Rolla, ND.  Together they raised five children, Tony, Tamme, Danielle, Del, and Julie Rae.  Alan was a bus driver for the Belcourt School System for many years.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family members and many friends.

Alan is survived by his wife, Linda Brunelle of Belcourt; children, Tony (Shawn) Brunelle of Warroad, MN, Tamme (James Lockheart) Hautala of Rock Springs, WY, Danielle Brunelle of Belcourt, Del (Brook) Brunelle of Belcourt, and Julie Rae (Bruno Nadeau) Brunelle of Belcourt; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edna Brunelle, brothers, William "Gus", Alfred "Sherman", and Douglas "Brent", and sisters, Sarah "Snoozer" and Arletta "Lou".

Casket Bearers are Colin Brunelle Jr., Miles Brunelle, Jeff Brunelle, William Brunelle, Jeff Brunelle, Dennis Shipman, Chris Laverdure, and Cody Brunelle.  Honorary Bearers are all family and his Bus garage friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation starting at 8:30 AM and a Rosary Service at 9:00 AM all in the church.  Burial will follow funeral services in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
