Agnes Wheeler, age 108, of Rolla, ND passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Presentation Medical Center, Rolla, ND.

Agnes Wheeler was born on November 17, 1911 in Belcourt, ND to Sampson Patnaude and Lesedo (Jeanotte) Patnaude. She was raised in Belcourt and completed her education there as well. Agnes was united in marriage to Patrick Trottier in 1928 and together they had fourteen children, Sylvia, George, Burton, Joan, Frances, Kenneth, Joyce, Ronald, John, Joe, Verna, Robert, Richard, and Glenn. She was a hard working and loving mother as she raised her children, teaching them life lessons and strong family values. Agnes also worked at the William Langer Jewel Bearing Plant for many years and was in charge of many young women at an all girls school in Bismarck for a few years. Agnes married Dean Wheeler and he preceded her in death. She enjoyed collecting teddy bears, playing pennies at the casino, and traveling with her family members. Agnes had a large garden for many years and became skilled at canning. She often made clothing for her children as they grew up as well. Agnes possessed so many wonderful traits that she lovingly passed on to her children. She was very devoted to her Catholic faith and often prayed with Fr. Richard Fineo and Deborah Schleisman. Agnes will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Agnes is survived by her children, Burton (Lillian) Trottier of Boissevain, MB, Kenneth Trottier of Stevensville, MT, John (Linda) Trottier of St. John, Joe Trottier of Albuquerque, NM, Verna (John Kemp) Trottier of Rolla, Robert (Kathy) Trottier of Belcourt, Richard (Diane) Trottier of Belcourt, and Glenn Trottier of St. John; and five generations of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her children, Sylvia McGillis, George Trottier, Joan Bryant, Frances Azure, Joyce Snowden, and Ronald Trottier.

Casket Bearers are Darryl McGillis, Mary Rattler-Laducer, George Pinchem, Craig Trottier, Jennifer Trottier, and Justin Trottier. Honorary Bearers are Eric Trottier, Reece Laducer, Preston Pinchem, Richard Trottier Jr., and all grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eulogy of Connie James. A visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. John, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the church with Father Richard Fineo presiding. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND in the spring.
