Adel Poitra, age 47, of Rolla, ND passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Adel Rose Marie Poitra was born on July 26, 1975 in Woodruff, Wisconsin to Philip and Deborah (Sero) Poitra.  She was raised in Belcourt and completed her education there as well, graduating from Belcourt High School in 1993.  She was a wonderful mother to three children, Keyli, Kolton, and Kayli, as well as companion to Richard LaFountain, whom she loved dearly.  Adel worked currently worked at St. Kateri Hospital in Rolla.  She was a loving, family-oriented person and in younger years enjoyed bowling with her father, playing baseball with her mother, and fishing and attending her children's activities. She also enjoyed playing volleyball in high school as well as being a cheerleader.  Adel liked to be outdoors, going fishing, and going to the casino, focusing on her favorite game, Keno.  Adel will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.

Adel is survived by her loving companion, Richard LaFountain of Rolla; children, Keyli Rose LaFountain and Kolton Simon LaFountain, both of Rolla; parents, Philip and Deborah Poitra of Lac Du Flambeau, WI; brother, Phil Poitra of Lac Du Flambeau, WI; sister, Gina Brown of Lac Du Flambeau, WI; mother-in-law, Barbara Azure of Dunseith; and many nieces and nephews.

Adel was preceded in death by her daughter, Kayli Marie LaFountain, sister, Cleo Poitra, and grandmother, Rose Poitra.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
