Adam DuBois, age 37, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Towner County Medical Center, Cando, ND.
Adam was born on April 5, 1985 to Marla Norquay (DuBois) and the late Robert Azure. He grew up in Belcourt, ND. Adam attended Flandreau School and obtained his GED in 2005. Adam spent a lot of his childhood spending time with his Godfather, the late Verlin DuBois, together they would always be doing something whether it be fishing, sports, hunting or going to Pow-wow's. Adam worked in concrete in Bismarck, ND for years before returning back home to Belcourt to live closer to family. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. When you saw him, he was always wearing something to represent his team. He enjoyed riding around with his friends reminiscing about old times and cracking jokes, very rarely would you see him without a smile on his face. Adam loved spending time with his lifelong friends, Lacey Crissler and Amber DeCoteau. He enjoyed living his life to the fullest.
Adam is survived by his mother, Marla (Pie) Norquay, two brothers, Jason Azure and Matthew DuBois; three sisters, Maggie DuBois, Roberta (Mike) Gourneau, and Michelle DuBois; two daughters, Kyleena Norquay and Cali DuBois; granddaughter, Anzylynn Norquay; Godson, Asher DeCoteau; and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Adam was preceded in death by his father, Robert Azure, stepfather, Elvis Norquay, grandparents, Robert and Elizabeth DuBois and Henry and Clara Azure, cousin, James Azure, nephew, Noah Gourneau, and niece, Angel Gourneau.
Adam's services will be held on April 19 th and 20 th , 2022 at Fiddler's Hall in Belcourt, ND. His services will start at 5:00 PM on April 19 th with an open prayer and viewing to say goodbyes. His burial will take place on April 20 th at 11:00 AM at White Stone Cemetery with a meal provide after the burial. His pallbearers are Eddie Gourneau, Bronson Gourneau, Henry E. Gourneau, Stetson Gourneau, Mark Lenoir, and Tyler Belgarde. Honorary Pallbearers are all of his friends and family. There will be playing of traditional drums, guitar, words from Derek DuBois, and a prayer for a safe journey from Neil Yoder. Please join us in celebrating his life and sending him onto his next journey.
