Abrium Swain, age 12, of Rolla, ND passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 near Dunseith, ND.

Abrium Carnal Swain was born on June 14, 2013 in Belcourt, ND to Adam Swain and Jessica Greatwalker.  He was raised in Minot, ND and then moved to Belcourt, ND. He was currently a student at Turtle Mountain Middle School in Belcourt. He has one loving sister, Maria, who cherished her brother.  Abrium had a wonderful sense of humor, always laughing and enjoying those around him.  He loved spending time with all of his little buddies as he could make friends everywhere he went.  He had the ability to steal your heart quickly.  Abrium enjoyed the outdoors and playing sports.  He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed and loved.

Abrium is survived by his father, Adam Swain; sister, Marie Swain; grandparents, Margie Gourneau and Francis Swain, Jesse Greatwalker, and Lora Smith; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and last but not least, his loving friends.

Abrium was preceded in death by his beautiful mom, Jessica Greatwalker, cousin, Angel Gourneau, and many other relatives.

Casket Bearers are Zaniyan Henry, Loren Henry, Preston Greatwalker, Waylon Greatwalker, Joseph Greatwalker, Brent Gourneau, Mike Gourneau, and Daniel Swain. Honorary Bearers are all family and friends. Drum Group is Gakina Anishinabe. Readers are Rachel Davis Houle, Kylee Rain Azure, Farrah Azure, and Greatwalker family. Rosary led by Roberta Nelson.

A visitation will begin at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Sprung Structure, Belcourt, ND. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Sprung Structure, Belcourt, ND. Andy Laverdure officiating. Burial will follow funeral services at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.  A meal will follow funeral services at Skydancer Casino, Belcourt, ND.
